Committee Report for Dec 2002

The CROIERG Committee met on Tuesday December 10th in Canberra and minutes have been distributed to members. These are available in the website Members Area.

Some points from the Committee Meeting:

Brian O’Connor has again taken on the Chairman’s role for the coming year.
CROIEG has taken over the Wagga Wagga Spill Response Trailer and equipment
A new Spill Response trailer unit will be built, fitted with appropriate equipment and based at Goulburn on the Hume Highway.
This brings the total number of CROIERG trailers to eight.
The group will be pro-active in the training area in 2003 and will prepare a presentation package to highlight the benefits of membership.

CROIERG ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (0ctober 14, 2002) in Canberra.

The CROIERG Committee has changed the date for the Group’s AGM to Monday October 14, 2002 at the Belconnen Premier Inn, Canberra. Please mark your diaries and come!

As an incorporated body the group has specific obligations under the Associations Incorporation Act 1984 in regard to the holding of the AGM, Elections etc. A Formal AGM Meeting Notice is now available. A nomination form can be downloaded also.

It is planned to hold a Training Session on the same day as the AGM and this was discussed at the committee meeting. An “Innovative Approach” has been suggested for the proposed training session and members will be contacted. Big Potential!
